 Jill Pankey and I had a fun weekend combining my photographs with her amazing art. If you are not yet familiar with Jill, you must check out her portraits of real women, true friends and sisters in spirit.

I am the fortunate owner of two of her works that are the most special pieces in my home. And am one of her biggest fans!

The Pankey-Hendricks project
2013: Women in Color

Earlier this year, I  shot about 100 images of a colorful group of Jill's friends at the Pankeys' Square One Gallery in Bryan, Texas, to get the project going. Here are a few of the edits. Jill is painting composites of the women (and a few brave men who happen to stumble into the shoot!) As mentioned in the sidebar, we are looking for groups of friends  who will volunteer for this project, tracking those special interests that bring us together. Or individuals with crazy addictions to shoes or hats or other collectables that you cannot bear to pass up! What's your story?
